Physiotherapy is a form of treatment aimed at healing and restoring function to the soft tissues of the body. Soft tissues are considered to be the muscles, ligaments, tendons and cartilage that are essential for healthy joint mobility. Chiropractors often incorporate physiotherapy into a patient’s treatment plan in order to strengthen the healing process and promote stability. At BSCM we have the following physiotherapy modalities:
Interferential Current or Electrical Muscle Stimulation
Thera-band and related exercises

“Spinal Traction”:
Spinal traction is a form of treatment that relieves pressure on the spine and discs by distracting or decompressing the spinal segments either manually or mechanically. Spinal traction is used to treat herniated discs, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, pinched nerves, and many other back conditions.

At BSCM we provide traction for the lumbar spine (low back) with a special mechanized table that stretches the spine and promotes motion passively to start the healing process. Cervical spine (neck) traction is performed in a seated position with a specialized traction chair.
